  • What kind of measures has SHIFT adopted with regard to ESG rating agencies?

    We benchmark the ratings criteria of major ESG ratings agencies, and incrementally disclose our progress as we gradually achieve compliance with more and more criteria.

    Obtaining a high evaluation by ESG rating agencies is not the primary objective of SHIFT Group’s ESG policy as we see it, but we nevertheless consider it a goal worth achieving as a tool for conducting ESG-related communication with external parties.

  • What kind of measures does SHIFT take to address environmental issues?

    As a responsible citizen, we maintain constant awareness of environmental issues and undertake measures such as energy conservation, for example by conscientiously turning off the lights in conference rooms when not in use.

  • What measures does SHIFT take to prevent overworking among its engineers?

    SHIFT Group has a number of initiatives in place to provide each of its employees the opportunity for continual professional development, and promote job satisfaction. Above all, we believe physical and mental heanth is essential for any efforts to improving performance, and we therefore take rigorous measures to ensure proper management of working hours and proper maintenance of physical and mental health.

    We also undertake efforts to improve working environments for our customers and vendor partners as part of our quality assurance business operations. SHIFT Group’s business helps streamline the process of IT development in Japanese IT industry with the so far insufficient division of labor. Up until now, engineers have typically been tasked with testing the software that they themselves develop, an inefficient practice that frequently required working overtime and led to excessive workloads. However, by making optimum use of their respective expertise and advancing the division of labor between development and testing, we believe we have helped make great strides in lightening the mental and physical load on development engineers and enhancing product quality.
