President and CEO
Tange was born in 1974 in Hiroshima Prefecture. After graduating from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Science at the Kyoto University Graduate School, he joined Incs Inc. (now SOLIZE Corporation) in 2000. Over a five-year period, he built a consulting department that started out with only three members into a 140-strong department generating ¥5 billion in annual revenue. In September 2005, after becoming manager of the consulting department he established SHIFT, Inc., becoming president and representative director. In November 2014, the company was listed on the Mothers Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. He is pushing the company ambitiously forward, including through the development of its overseas operations.
Director, Vice-President and CFO
Matsuo joined Fujitsu Ltd. in 1987 following his graduation from Waseda University. At Fujitsu, he held such positions as general manager of finance and accounting in Japan and overseas and was involved in a broad range of activities, such as the overseas IPO of a joint venture company and mergers and acquisitions. As senior director of Finance and Accounting at Fujitsu’s headquarters, he also led the company’s transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). In 2014, he was appointed head of the CFO Strategy Office at Nidec Corporation, where he supervised the management of business performance, the establishment of a company to supervise overseas operations, and the transition to IFRS. Thereafter, he acted as CFO of a business, supervising accounting and finance for a business with annual revenues of ¥100 billion. In March 2017, he joined SHIFT as director and vice-president. By strengthening the overall management of the SHIFT Group, he aims to drive further business growth.
In 2003, Kobayashi graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering of the Tokyo Institute of Technology School of Engineering. Upon graduation, he joined Incs Inc., where he was involved with the development of a design standardization system, as well as design process improvements for ultraprecise electronics, precision auto parts, and precision optical devices before joining SHIFT. After handling business process improvements in the Quality Assurance Department, he was instrumental in launching the software testing business. As general manager, he has been in charge of a variety of administrative projects. Since 2014, he has served as representative of Group companies, including subsidiaries. As a director of SHIFT, he now oversees the overall business.
A graduate of Waseda University’s School of Law, Mr. Nakagaki has been involved in investments in venture firms for around 20 years, many of which have gone on to be listed on the stock market. Following a position as general manager of Investment at Japan Asia Investment Co., Ltd., he established and continues to run Draper Nexus, a network fund of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm. He invests in venture companies in Japan and Silicon Valley.
A graduate of Meiji University’s School of Political Science and Economics, Mr. Sasaki joined Lead Electric Co., Ltd. (now KEYENCE CORPORATION) in 1982. Following appointments as general manager of the KS Division in 1992 and director and general manager of the APSULT Division in 1999, he became the company’s president and CEO in 2000. While in that position, he succeeded in expanding the company’s domestic and overseas business.
Following his graduation from Doshisha University’s Faculty of Law, Mr. Chishiki joined Kanebo Ltd. (now Kanebo Cosmetics Inc.), where he was involved in sales, marketing, and management planning. He took part in the launch of the cosmetics brand LISSAGE and was appointed president of LISSAGE Ltd. when it became a subsidiary. Supported by the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan, he was appointed president of Kanebo Cosmetics Inc. in 2004. After that, he became president of TAKE AND GIVE NEEDS Co., Ltd., which is involved in the wedding business, and was named president of Nihon Kotsu Co., Ltd. in 2015.
Mr. Fukuda joined SAP Japan Co., Ltd. as a new graduate in April 1997 after completing a degree at Waseda University’s School of Education. At that company, he was put in charge of wide range of clients of varying sizes across a host of industries. In 2007, he was appointed vice president, overseeing new business development. Appointed general manager of the Sales Division in 2011, he handled specific strategic customers, as well as clients in such industries as distribution and services, telecommunications and media, and process manufacturing. In July 2014, he became the first official employee to become company president.
Yosuke Sugahara, Executive Officer, Director of the Business Transformation Division, and Dirctor of the Human Resources Division
Sugahara is a graduate of Keio University’s Graduate School of Science and Technology. He joined Incs Inc. upon graduation, where he was involved in manufacturing before joining SHIFT in 2008. As the quality assurance project was gaining momentum, he gained experience as a structuring consultant for a QA team at a major online production company. Later, he became general manager of the Software Testing Department, handling such business areas as system integration, online and mobile, and packaging. Given his general experience with new business launches, to further expand SHIFT’s business following the IPO he was put in charge of the Business Transformation Division, overseeing an organization of around 1,000 people.

A Kyoto University graduate, in 1985 Mr. Hosoda joined Nomura Computer Systems Co., Ltd. (now Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.), where he handled a wide range of IT system planning and operations for enterprise customers. Thereafter, he became deputy general manager of the IT Infrastructure Strategy Department at Nomura Securities Co., Ltd., and was later appointed executive director. After a stint at Samsung Securities Co., Ltd., he joined SBI Securities Co., Ltd. in 2014. There, he held positions as advisor of the System Development Department, director, head of the CIO office, and general manager of the Quality Control Department. Simultaneously, he chaired Financials ISAC Japan’s Vulnerability Response Working Group. He joined SHIFT in January 2017 and was appointed executive officer in October of that year.
Executive Officer and General Manager of the Sales Division
Following his graduation from Nagoya City University’s Faculty of Economics, Mr. Komiyama went on to complete an Executive MBA Program at the Columbia Business School. He joined Citizen Watch Co., Ltd., where he gained experience in production management and sales, before being seconded to the company’s US branch. There, he participated in large-scale OEM business and business development activities surrounding the US IT sector. He became representative director of Handspring Co., Ltd. in 2000, before moving on in 2002 to a position as general manager of sales planning and general manager of marketing at SGI Japan Ltd. In 2004, as a director and executive officer at Wacom Co., Ltd., he took charge of the Japan/Asia, global corporate, and CAD software businesses. In July 2018, he joined SHIFT as an executive officer.
Audit & Supervisory Board Members
After gaining experience in the IT field at a general trading company, Mr. Miura worked in IT consulting for Japanese companies entering the US, as a project manager for large-scale systems, and gained experience in launching an ERP business. After holding executive positions at Infocom Corporation and GRANDIT Corporation, he became an Audit & Supervisory Board member at SHIFT in 2012.
An attorney, Mr. Kiroko has extensive experience in the IT industry and with venture companies and is familiar with legal issues related to IT, games, and startups. He became an Audit & Supervisory Board member of SHIFT in 2012, providing support for the company on the compliance front.
Working at a major automaker, Mr. Matsui gained experience taking charge of activities involving tax offices and was placed in charge of the management and administrative department at an overseas subsidiary. He has also served as outside auditor for large listed companies. He is using his extensive experience and knowledge in general business management to support SHIFT, particularly on the business management and tax fronts.
