Expansion of Azabudai Headquarters
Promoting headquarters utilization with the aim of further enhancing employee engagement

SHIFT Inc. (“SHIFT,” headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Masaru Tange, CEO and Representative Director) hereby announces that the Azabudai Headquarters was expanded.

In September 2023, SHIFT relocated its headquarters to Azabudai (Minato-ku, Tokyo) following the contract expiration of the previous office. In doing so, we have set the following roles at the headquarters, apart from the satellite office function, which focuses on projects.

– A place to conduct operations that work more efficiently in face to face communications and to foster　employees’ sense of belonging such as the holding of project kickoff meetings, team building,　collaborative work, and personnel evaluation.
– A place to invite stakeholders, including customers and employees’ families, to have them deepen their　understanding and enthusiasm for SHIFT as a company.
– A place to promote innovations by organizing the environment to “stimulate right-hand brain.”
– A place to discuss management policies such as holding Board of Directors meetings, management　meetings and so on.
– A place to introduce the “Office DX (introducing the idea of DX (Digital Transformation) to the office),”　through which SHIFT aims to “create customers’ software services/products that sell,” to become　examples for customers, to promote bonds between employees and to maximize the advantages that are　unique to working in the headquarters /satellite offices.

As we promoted the utilization of headquarters functions as a human capital investment, we judged that the utilization of headquarters could contribute to improving employee motivation. In order to promote further utilization of headquarters, we increased the floor space of the Azabudai headquarters.

We are also continuing our efforts to utilize the headquarters in FY2025, and so far we have held as many as 1,482 internal and external events. We believe that these events will also contribute to raising employee motivation, and SHIFT is expanding its Azabudai headquarters to further expand this initiative.
