Announcement of Acquisition of Network Technos Co. Ltd.

SHIFT Inc. (“SHIFT,” headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Masaru Tange, CEO and Representative Director) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, ALH Inc. (“ALH,” headquartered in Meguro-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Shoji Hatakeyama, Representative Director and President) decided to acquire a 100% equity interest in Network Technos Co. Ltd. (“Network Technos,” headquartered in Fukuoka-shi, Fukuoka, Japan; Tatsuya Tanaka, Representative Director), a provider of contracted system development.

1. Reason for the acquisition
ALH is a group company of SHIFT and develops software development businesses. ALH has been achieving high growth by increasing the number of engineers through aggressive recruitment activities, raising the unit price of engineer, and improving employee satisfaction through the development of various human resources measures.
ALH has also established a base in Fukuoka, and has been working to expand its operations to date. Against this backdrop, further expansion of the customer base at Fukuoka base is one of ALH’s priority areas.

Network Technos is based in Fukuoka and provides services centered on software contract development. It builds stable business relationships with a wide range of customers, mainly a major SIer. ALH plans to work to further strengthen the customer base at its Fukuoka base by collaborating with Network Technos, which operates in Fukuoka. Network Technos will also be able to experience a broader range of customers and projects by collaborating with ALH, which boasts a company size of around 1,300 employees, and expects its employees to grow further. Moreover, collaboration with ALH, which operates primarily in Tokyo, will enable Network Technos to acquire new customers in Tokyo.

In addition, with an increasingly difficult recruitment environment due to a shortage of IT human resources, Network Technos feels challenges in its recruitment activities. By collaborating with SHIFT, Network Technos can expect to share recruitment know-how, expand channels, and improve recruitment brand-name as “the SHIFT Group”.
