Announcement of Acquisition of CIMTECH Inc.

SHIFT Inc. (“SHIFT,” headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Masaru Tange, CEO and Representative Director) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SHIFT Growth Capital (“SGC,” headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Taichi Hattori, Representative Director) decided to acquire a 100% equity interest in CIMTCH Inc. (“CIMTECH,” headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Kazuo Kobayashi, Representative Director), a provider of support of operational system development, web development, network building and contracted system development.

1. Reason for the acquisition
CIMTECH has strengths in development operations centered on apps, WEB development, and maintenance and operation. It builds strong business relations with customers in a wide range of industries, including finance, government, and distribution, with a focus on the telecommunications field. It also has strengths in recruiting new graduates and has a lot of young talented engineers.

The SHIFT Group has several group companies with strengths in development areas. Demand for software development is also expanding along with the increased needs for software quality assurance and the strengthening of the businesses of each group company. The SHIFT Group believes that by welcoming CIMTCH on board, SHIFT and SHIFT’s group companies will be able to work with CIMTECH to further strengthen and expand their developed functions while expanding its client base.

In addition, besides the recruiting methods to recruit many talented engineers, SHIFT has established a training system for employees, including “Top-gun system*.” This enables truly talented engineers to acquire unit prices and salaries commensurate with their skills while improving their skills.
