< Project Background >
The Information System Security Management and Assessment Program (ISMAP)—Japan’s government cloud security assessment and authorization framework—is scheduled to revise its control standards in May 2027. This revision aims to align with the latest international security standards and enhance operational functionality. To ensure seamless adoption across cloud service providers, auditing bodies, and assessment authorities, the timely formulation of practical guidelines and updated regulations is urgently required.

Preparing for this revision entails extensive task coordination and multi-stakeholder alignment, demanding deep domain expertise in cybersecurity, compliance standards, and strong execution capabilities. SHIFT was awarded this contract in recognition of its deep technical expertise in security evaluation, practical operational design capabilities grounded in real-world operations, and proven PMO capabilities in driving large-scale initiatives.

Under this initiative, SHIFT will lead the structuring, analysis, and resolution of key operational tasks and policy discussion points required to establish new guidelines and revise related regulations. The project will run for six months, from June 18, 2026, to December 18, 2026. Through this project, SHIFT is committed to supporting the continued enhancement and effective operation of the ISMAP program.
